Twenty-nine miles of single track! Non-motorized multi-use trails wind through canyons, around meadows, and up into the hills in this uncrowded and unspoiled park. From easy to challenging trails, everyone will find something to suit their liking at Susanville Ranch Park.
Susanville Ranch Park is a 1,100-acre park property in northeast California, owned and managed by Lassen County and the Bureau of Land Management as a shared-use recreation area.
Bizz Johnson Trail – 17 or 26 min drive (depending on which trailhead you choose)
Devils Corral Trail Head: 115-200-26-11, Susanville, CA 96130
Westwood Trail Head: Mc Coy Rd, Westwood, CA 96137
This is a very scenic rail trail that cruises along the Susan River. This area is great for groups of different abilities as there is challenging singletrack on the south side of the canyon. There are several connections for meeting up. This rail trail was rated the most scenic rail trail in California by the Rails to Trails Conservancy.
This Rail Trail is 25.4 miles long and the majority of the trail winds its way along the rugged Susan River Canyon. A gentle 3% grade and wide gravel surface make the Bizz perfect for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, while the Southside Trail provides a more technical single-track opportunity running parallel to the Bizz from Hobo Camp to Devils’ Corral, with two additional access points in between.
